Thursday

I'm still not over the Daylight Saving time change. I woke up at 9:00 this am instead of 8:00. Worked today at the sandwich shop, it was very slow for a Thursday. Stoped by the Venice Goodwill after work, no bargins there. Hit Joann's for some more yarn for Jayleen's shawl, also bought some pretty blue and green varigated yarn to make something for Melissa's baby, most likely a sweater an hat set but I think I'll make a 9 month old size as she's expecting a summer baby. Amy's baby is due in October, but down here in SW FL so that will be a bigger size as well. I work again tomorrow and plan to get 2 more plants for the front garden so it will look good when Dan and Marcie come next week.

First post

I love to read blogs so I figured, why not me? So here I am, my first attempt at blogging. I read today there is a work at home industry for people keeping up other people's blogs. That would be a great job for me, as long as I can blog that is.

I've been knitting a lot lately, I stay up very late and even dream about knitting. This seems to be cyclical for me, quilting, embroidery, upholstering, and designing all have seized my attention at different times. It's interesting, (to me at least) that I don't stop doing anything totally when a new interest comes along, in fact they sometimes morph into each other.

I've almost finished the sweet, yellow sweater and hat set for my nephew's new baby, just finishing up the hat. I made up the lace motif and them found out it's known as the butterfly stitch. I love the way it's coming out.

I have moved into research for a shawl that can be used by Mom, Jayleen, while she's pregnant and then as a baby and nursing shawl. I'm between a triangular diamond lace motif and a rectangular lace leaf pattern. It will be knit in a super soft yarn my friend Wendy gave me for my birthday.
